Just a cautionary note - this past weekend at ACE2009 in Grande Cache, the winch cable became unspooled when we were doing a self recovery when I become real stuck in some muskeg. After getting unstuck, we were spooling the cable back out to get it re-wound properly, and the end of the cable came loose out of the clip that attached the cable to the winch drum.

Well, between laying a new floor in my sons room, and working on the Jeep, I managed to get the bumper removed, holes drilled into the frame for the winch plate, and a bit of metal trimmed off the top of the frame rails to allow for the winch plate. A pretty good day!

Tomorrow, get the winch mounted, wired up, and the bumper back on! Should be busy! Oh yeah, gotta put baseboards in my sons room too!
