Fasteners on the JK

If you ever need to replace a bolt or fastener on your Jeep, one of the last places you’ll want to resort to is getting the replacements from the dealership. From the dealership, you can expect to pay a ridiculous price for a 2 bit part.

Here are some reasonable replacement fasteners, at reasonable prices:

grill-pin06508480AA Grill fasteners
$6.05 pkg/25

rivet06101956 – rear fender rivet pins
$6.05 pkg/25

clip06506007AA – rear fender clips
$8.92 pkg/15
(These clips can cost as much as $10.00/clip from the dealership!)

I've been working with the web for over 15 years, working on websites for myself, the federal government, and many other companies over the years. Other interests include woodworking, cooking, and going places with the Jeep that I bought a few years ago. The Jeep has lead to other interests including amateur radio, welding, and also wrenching - learning how to maintain and repair my Jeep :^)

  1. Ordered and on their way!

  2. Arrived today – fenders are back on good now, without zip ties and duct tape ;^)

I need to try again with the plastic rivets – very tricky trying to get the wheel well and fenders together while trying to do the rivet – is there a special tool for plastic rivets?
