Nice rigs…and wish list ;^)

GPS has been on my mind – and I just came across a pretty cool possibility – a couple new MID devices – from a Korean company called viliv. These devices run Windows XP, or Linux, and have GPS built in. Pretty slick units! More info on their site (but not too much :^( )
Bumpers – so many choices – but I think that I like the models with the pre-runner tubes. Initialy I was leaning towards a stubby or mid-width bumper, but since putting the dent into the factory bumper last weekend, I think that I want something, like the pre-runner bars, to extend out – I think that they would help protect the factory fenders, as well as the suspension/steering components.
A roof rack is going to be a necessity. The Wild Boar rack is available through a Chrysler dealership in Vegreville – a bit of a road trip – but that’s cool. I like some of the accessories available – including an awning ;^)
Grab handles for the back and front. Some folks have been using these from Chesapeake for the back, and then these for the front. Going the Chesapeake route, the back grab handles are less than $7.00 each, but look the same as other brands ( like Rugged Ridge )
Upgraded lighting – the headlights are not great from the factory – sometimes they seem downright dim. On the JK Forums, there’s an upgrade path that seems very popular among many of the forum members by Daniel Stern. I dig the RRC tube bumpers as well. By the way this was back in 2008 did you end up getting them? and if so how do you like it?

No, been gradually wearing away the factory bumper
Hopefully this spring I’ll have a new bumper – picked up a welding machine last fall, and hope to build my own – and hopefully enlist some assistance from someone in the Jeep club to help me out with some tube work.
